On Earth[edit | edit source]

Luke Ulan's history is mostly unknown. He was abandoned on the planet Earth when he was seven years old, and lived as a beggar for many years. He has stated that the living conditions were harsh and awful, and he had gotten beat up by a group of teenagers many times a month for a unknown number of years he was there, presumably because they were cruel human beings. This was one reason he grows to resent humans before joining the crew. When he was thirteen years of age, he had finally had enough. The struggle of the way he was living had activated the conflict inside him. When the teens were beating up on him one day, conflict form engaged for the first time. Luke lost control and discovered his strange powers of hydro-kinesis and it's relationship to his odd crystal on his shoulder. Up to then, he had just though he was a human with a strange deformity. Luke beat up the teens using his newly-discovered power. When he had subdued the teens, he didn't stop. He kept attacking, and he couldn't stop, no matter how hard he tried. He nearly killed the teens before he regained control. When the police found out what happened, they interrogated Luke and discovered his alien powers. The government kidnapped Luke after a short while, and preformed tests on him for many years.

On the moon of Zanarn[edit | edit source]

When Luke was fourteen, he finally escaped the government lab by once again building up the conflict inside him and attaining conflict form. He lived in hiding for a few months, but after a while, he found something amazing. He saw a cargo ship from another world. He assumed that it must have come from the alien planet he was born on, and snuck onto the ship, and the ship to him onto the moon of Zanarn. When Luk had reached the planet, he finally learned of the huge amount of populated planets there are in the universe, and he was amazed. Luke made a living there, made his own home, and lived a peaceful life for two years. During those two years, he learned of the existence of Atumios. Atumios soon became Luke's role model, since Atumios started off like Luke, weak, and became stronger in the end. This inspired Luke to aspire to be stronger and join the Austra Estelle.

On the Austra Estelle[edit | edit source]

Luke joined the Austra Estelle, and debuted in the role-play for the first time ever. When Luke first joined the crew, he was greeted by Mirros, Izanagi, Mikhail, Zero, and Christian. Luke's introductory duel was with Christian, but Luke lost pitifully do to and elemental disadvantage, Christian being lightning and Luke being water. However, Luke was accepted into the crew anyways. Luke then on began living on the Austra Estelle, taking notes and learning judo to become a better fighter. After a while, Luke began experiencing strange occurrences with his eyes, with his right eye nearly permanently turning red. His eyes flashed red periodically and he saw a vision of someone dying each time. One day, Mikhail used telepathy on Luke, which caused them both to be sucked inside Luke's head. Luke and Mikhail fought Conflict-Trent, a being that is Luke's other soul. This resulting in Luke dying, and shortly afterward, Mikhail about to die because of Conflict-Trent's cruor-kinesis. However, this resulted in Luke's revival. Luke uttered his True Title, and defeated the conflict inside him temporarily. Shortly afterwards, the Anklet of Dawn formed on his right arm.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Luke is very conscious of his uselessness and weakness. He is not at all confident, and, when he pretends he is, he makes fun of himself in his thoughts. He has a strong sense of justice and tries to be a good person, but he can be manipulative subconsciously. He is very literal and does not understand most jokes and/or saying. Luke has trust issues, so it will take a lot for him to trust anyone. He has a strong attachment to his comrades, but he will not hesitate to take his own side for the greater good of the universe.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

While Luke has not spent as much time with the crew compared to everyone else, Luke does have interactions with quite a few of them.

Izanagi[edit | edit source]

Out of all the crew members, Luke has probably bonded with Izanagi the most, simply because of the few moments they have shared together, namely the time where Luke revealed his past to the crew. Luke does not suspect anything shady from Izanagi like Mirros, so Luke somewhat trusts Izanagi.

Atumios[edit | edit source]

Luke greatly respects Atumios, and likewise, Atumios is the reason Luke had heard about and joined the crew. Luke has an apologetic and a student-teacher attitude towards Atumios, even though Luke ends up choosing Maeko as his teacher. Whenever Luke needs to count on someone, the first person in line will be Atumios, no matter the situation. It should also be noted Luke never takes notes of Atumios in his green notebook, and only his orange notebook

Mikhail[edit | edit source]

Luke has spent some time with Mikhail, and it was mostly positive. However, the fact that Mikhail is literally Satan made Luke scared of him. Luke is still friendly towards Mikhail, but his trust in him fluctuates.

Mirros[edit | edit source]

Luke has a very apologetic attitude towards Mirros similar to how he treats Atumios, but it is mostly out of fear instead of respect. Luke originally thought Mirros was only an odd person, but now he thinks Mirros is insane when he learned about her whole genocide-complex.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Hydro-kinesis: Since Luke is very weak when it comes to strength, he relies on hydrokinesis to turn the tides (pun intended).

  • Pressure: Luke can alter the amount of pressure on water molecules, making them either compact of free.
    • Temperature: Likewise, Luke can change the temperature of water (because temperature is speed of molecules moving)
      • State of Matter: Therefore, Luke can change the state of matter of water, as long as it is not too hot or cold.
  • Viscosity: Luke can change how fast or slow water flows, or how it flows in general.
  • Density: Luke can force water together, making them more dense. He can also use this on water to make it more solid-like, but still remaining a liquid and retaining its liquid properties. LIkewise, he can also lift
  • Hardness of Ice: If Luke is concentrated, he can prevent ice from being shattered by holding the molecules together.
  • Blood: When and only Luke is about to die in Conflict Form, he can manipulate blood and certain other fluids within a body. However, he cannot use this to make the enemy implode, explode, or hurt their insides in general, though he can influence the enemy’s movements.
  • Wave: At base form, Luke can control up to 75 gallons of water, but it depends on concentration. Manipulating a lot of water or an object that contains little water is draining.
  • Water sense: Luke can feel water around him, regardless of state of matter or what contains it. Therefore, if water is moving extremely fast or slow at him, he can sense it and sometimes stop or manipulate it.
  • Other substances. Luke can manipulate substances mixed with water, such as mud or juice.

Arsenal[edit | edit source]

  • Backpack
    • Luke stores many useful items in his brown backpack. As of now, he carries two notebooks, a judo book, a couple issues of manga, a few knives, emergency water, and a change of clothes.
  • Hydro-kinetic Weaponry
    • Luke can form nearly any weapon with hydro-kinesis, but his weapon of choice is a sword. These weapons can be formed of either ice or water, and he uses his density manipulating abilities to make them sharp and solid-like, while still maintaining the properties of the original. Luke can also form other objects, including armor.
  • Anklet of Dawn
    • In dire situations, Luke will use the Anklet of Dawn to preform strong attacks using a combination of light and water.

Fighting Style[edit | edit source]

Luke tries to deliver fast combos of blasts of water and sword techniques. His main style of fighting is using the environment to his advantage, or being creative in general, trying to outsmart his opponent rather than overpower them. He also uses his speed to escape attacks, usual traveling by manipulating the density of water to float on it, so he can sort of surf on it without a board, so he can move as fast as his hydro-kinesis let’s him. On the occasion he uses his armor, he remains defensive and only attacks once he has been attacks, trying to turn the tides by using his opponent’s weakness. His hand-to-hand techniques include a combination of martial arts, mainly judo.

Counters[edit | edit source]

Physical attack are the best choice against Luke, since he must be balanced to use it to full potential. Even if Luke decides not to use hydro-kinesis, Luke is weak to physical attacks by default because of his small stature. Also, his hydro-kinesis is vulnerable to electricity and some energy-based attacks. While he resists many attacks when he uses hydro-kinetic armor, it is not strong against Ki blasts and similar attacks. Using electricity while he is in armor form will probably knock him out, but he probably not make that mistake.

Forms[edit | edit source]

  • Conflict Form
    • Conflict form is form that Luke takes on when he is full of confliction. So far, Luke has not achieved Conflict Form outside of his head, so the real life abilities of this form is unknown.
  • (Tide of the) Dawn Form
    • Dawn Form is the form Luke takes on when Conflict Form threatens to take over. In this form, Luke is able to emit strong vortexes of hydro-light, and Luke's hydro-kinesis is much stronger (and shinier!). When Luke prefects this ability, he will be able to fly, form stronger weapons and vortexes, and emit huge flashes of light to temporarily blind the opponent.

Modes[edit | edit source]

  • Dual Mode
    • Luke harmonizes with his polar opposite, in this case, Trent. They create a mind link so strong that they know what each other is going to do in combat, achieving multiple hit combos with ease.
